White House Staff React in Real-Time as Trump Tweets: Jesus
Source: Daily Beast
Senior administration officials have grown accustomed to learning about their bosss whims in unorthodox ways but it doesnt mean they like it or are prepared for the sudden swings of emotion. For instance, one official was having a conversation with a Daily Beast reporter on Friday morning when the reporter interrupted the official to inform them that Trump was on Twitter again.
After a brief pause to check Twitter, the senior Trump aide informed of the unfolding rant, responded, Jesus.

Multiple White House sources confirmed to The Daily Beast earlier reports that the president was furious in the aftermathcausing aides to spend the rest of the week drawing as little attention to themselves as possible.
People are keeping their heads down, another official said, describing the White House comms shop as dispirited and fearful of Trumps ire.
White House sources told The Daily Beast this week that Trump was not accepting excuses from staffers that they were kept in the dark and therefore didnt have sufficient time on Tuesday to come up with a coherent strategy and messaging.

(12,344 posts)He such a control freak he won't even tell his own communication staff what the message is. He just wants to tweet it out whenever he feels like it.

(724 posts)It's apparent this whole thing isn't working out, he's not taking it well, and will only lash out more as things come unglued. So much power, so unstable. Bad mojo.

(19,201 posts)continue to work for this screaming nut-job? Jobs can't be that difficult to find in D.C. can they? If they're good enough to be chosen for a White House position, they must be intelligent enough for private sector jobs.
I don't understand. Is being close to power - and that close to a raging lunatic - that important to some people? Jobs like that cause cancer, IMO. Who needs the stress?

(14,047 posts)And then it gets blown away by the next tweet. So, you have to contradict what you just told everybody and defend the new position that contradicts what you said hours or even minutes ago. All with the reassurance that "The Base" will totally accept this as the new truth, because that's the sort of bubble they live in.
Problem is, that you have to go out and face people who know. Every day. Better hope Trumpcare keeps the pain-killers coming.

Meanwhile...Spicer and team needed 3 HRs from the announcement and they weren't as good.
And that INFURIATED Trump.
