Poll: 78 Percent think Russian investigation should be independent

A growing 78 percent of Americans believe an independent commission or special prosecutor should handle the investigation into Russias interference in the 2016 presidential election moving forward, according to a new poll.
The NBC NEWS/Wall Street Journal poll asked Americans whether they would rather see the an independent investigation or Congress handle the probe going forward.
Just 15 percent picked Congress, while 78 percent supported an independent commission or special prosecutor.

The question is whether Republicans will acknowledge this.

(26 posts)Even the media (who SHOULD be caring about THEIR situation) keeps reporting on the stupid tiny minority of trump supporters WAY more than is justified. They are IGNORING the rest of US!!! I can hardly stand to watch the news anymore....they are contributing to the republicans agenda. They continue to normalize this BS. I want to ask them....what do the president & republicans have to actually do to make THEM wake up??? I fear that this crap will continue & I don't even have much faith in the electorate to step up in 2018 mid terms. It's really depressing.

(30,733 posts)how many of them get air time on the news. The media are trying to appear "fair and balanced," when doing exactly the opposite.
It makes me sick to see how those supporters think he is doing a great job when he has accomplished nothing except throw the world into a frightening turmoil.
