The political network of the conservative brothers Charles and David Koch on Thursday launched a multi-million dollar push to jolt the debate on tax reform.
Now is the time, network spokesman James Davis told The Associated Press. Weve got to unite around those principles. The White House hopefully will see this as a jolt to support them in driving this forward.

The networks leading organizations, Americans for Prosperity and Freedom Partners, on Thursday also released a set of general preferences for an overhaul of the tax code, which included lowering business tax rates, cutting taxes on investments and eliminating the estate tax, among other things.
Members of Trumps economic team on Wednesday met with members of Congress to discuss the tax reform push, a top priority of the White House.
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and National Economic Council Director Gary Cohn met with Republicans and some Democrats on the issue during a flurry of meetings on Capitol Hill.

The ads will run through the summer.
A Dem Senator was on TV last night. He said Republicans are going full steam ahead with their work to pass their agenda. Meanwhile the media is occupied with the DC scandals and very little is getting out in the news about what is happening with legislation.

(58,785 posts)leaned on Ryan to bull ahead with the job of destroying the ACA. Ryan's their guy, as well as their kind of guy, of course, but he has the actual job of pulling it off and keeping control of Congress, while they get to sit back and do what they do--use their money to corrupt, pressure and deceive.
But yesterday I read WaPo or NYT opinion about how Rump's troubles might keep them from moving forward with tax "reform," i.e., the close to $1 TRILLION in cuts this year alone, and I thought, oh, yeah, like that's going to happen.
And now this.

(7,888 posts)They own Georgia Pacific and Matador Cattle. They are using all their shell PACs to influence the sell or use of Federal land and parks. In addition, they have funded the ALEC legislation and dark money elections that have crippled my state.
Their pipelines have spilled oil and they are fracking crazies. I would enjoy watching them get a jolt of justice.

(5,801 posts)no way will they let dump and his antics interfere with their agenda. They bought the country and now they want their payoff. Well, more payoff since they have been looting the nation for their benefit for decades.
Lyin' Ryan and McTurdle aren't sitting back, paralyzed. They are plowing full steam ahead to enact the koch agenda. America doesn't want their b*llshit but democracy never stopped these fascists.
The kochs are a couple of sociopathic money hoarders.
Oh, and anyone who works for a living and votes puke is their tool.
