Its not you, Twitter is down

Source: WPIX

Twitter users Friday were in for a rude awakening the social media site is down, not allowing many people to tweet or refresh their news feeds.

Twitter acknowledged the issue at 8:43 a.m. Friday in, ironically, a tweet:

Some users are currently experiencing problems accessing Twitter & Tweeting. We are aware of the issue and are working towards a resolution, according to Twitters support account.

In a test nearly one hour later, PIX11 was unable to tweet.

Not world ending.

But the disdain from some is annoying as hell. Some of us use the platform and others to get the word out about what we write about and our projects to people that are interested.

It's not all a cesspool of shit. Most of it isn't, in fact.

A lot of people, especially for work, are migrating to slack for a host of reasons.

I've done the email thing through things like constant contact and others. It's not the same kind of interaction that you get through other social media platforms though. Each serves it's own purpose, though most people seem to think "well, if I think it sucks, it must not be useful for anyone."
