Ex-FBI official withdraws name from consideration to replace Comey: report

Source: The Hill

Former FBI official Richard McFeely has reportedly withdrawn his name from consideration to replace James Comey as FBI director, according to a report by a Washington ABC affiliate.

Sources told WJLA that McFeely withdrew his name from President Trump's FBI director shortlist. Three potential candidate left include Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.), former Republican Oklahoma Gov. Frank Keating and acting FBI chief Andrew McCabe.

Trump has been searching for a replacement director since he dropped the bombshell news last week that he had fired Comey.

The president pledged last week that he would move quickly to name a new FBI director, suggesting he would name a new bureau chief before leaving for his first foreign trip.

IIRC Keating was sure he was going to be W's AG. He was not picked because apparently he said something negative about someone close to W. The OKC bombing occurred shortly after his inauguration as governor. His wife and team were able to use the info and contacts they"d develoved for the inauguration to pull together a truly impressive memorial service for the victims.

How about the Tangerine Nightmare reinstate Comey, and let the pieces fall where they may?

What can I say? I believe in the multiverse, and the nature of Quantum physics.

I just wish that I could jump to a more reasonable reality than this one!

12. That would be funny if the special counsel was investigating the FBI director.

The only good thing one can say about this administration is, it's entertaining.
