From the WhoWhatWhy link in the article posted:

• The girl was presented in news accounts — and Weiner’s plea deal — as being 15 at the time, that is, under the age of consent in her state. She was not.

• Weiner’s victim and her family were not, as represented, Clinton fans — they actually were strong Trump enthusiasts. Her story was trusted in part because she was characterized as having no axe to grind with Clinton or the Democrats.

• Weiner’s “sexting” partner was not simply a victim. Contrary to tabloid accounts, she initiated the contact with Weiner. And she went out of her way to seek advice from a GOP-associated figure behind prior efforts to harm Weiner and other Democrats.

I'd like to hear more about that "GOP-associated figure." Not to rule out Ruskie involvement, of course, but Russia was merely supplementing the blizzard of lies "GOP-associated figures," including and/or as well as much of the MSM, were blanketing America with here.

I just wonder who put it up to her, who suggested this in the first place?

was someone her parents were acquainted with. Makes me think of the slimy behavior of some of the children at the Trump rallies right in front of, and with full approval of, their proud parents.

She's allowed to. It's not relevant to his case. It's only potentially relevant to authorities if they want to incestigate if an adult put her up to it.

If she was 16, which is the age of consent in North Carolina, and he was charged based on her age being 15, which would have been a violation under North Carolina law, what exactly is he guilty of, other then exceptional stupidity and being really creepy!!!
