Christie: I wouldn't have let Flynn in White House

BY MALLORY SHELBOURNE - 05/22/17 01:45 PM EDT

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) would not have let retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn near the White House if he were president, he said Monday. “That’s what I said. Yeah, because he’s not my cup of tea,” Christie said when pressed by one reporter. “You know, if I were president I could decide who comes in and who doesn’t.”

President Trump appointed Flynn as national security adviser, but he was quickly ousted after it was revealed he misled Vice President Pence and other top officials about his meetings with Russia's U.S. ambassador. After his ousting, it was revealed that Flynn had worked as a foreign agent on behalf of Turkey. Reports emerged last week that Trump urged then-FBI Director James Comey to "let go" of the bureau's investigation into Flynn, two months before Trump fired Comey.

Christie briefly led Trump’s transition team in November before being replaced by Pence. The governor previously said that he did not notice any “red flags” regarding Flynn, who former acting attorney general Sally Yates said had become vulnerable to blackmail by the Russians.

Christie on Monday said he and Flynn never had any conflicts, though in the past the governor has said he made Trump aware of their disagreements. “Gen. Flynn and I never had any conflict of any kind, verbal, non verbal, metaphysical. None during any of those intelligence briefings,” Christie told the reporters.

Christie Says He ‘Made It Very Clear’ To Trump That Flynn Was Bad News

By ESME CRIBB Published MAY 22, 2017 3:39 PM

Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) said Monday that he repeatedly warned President Donald Trump against hiring former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.

“I didn’t think that he was someone who would bring benefit to the President or to the administration,” Christie said at a news conference, as quoted by the Washington Post. “I made that very clear to candidate Trump, and I made it very clear to President-elect Trump.”

Christie said he was “not going to get into specifics” regarding his misgivings about Flynn.

“Some of it involves classified information that I’m just not at liberty to discuss,” he said. “I was not informed in any way about him or anyone else being under investigation.”

Must be thanking his lucky stars he put Kushner's daddy in jail all those years ago. Jared did him a big favor by throwing Christie off the Trump Titanic.

Chris Christie Says He’d Shoot Down Russian Planes and Trigger War

CNN debate moderator Wolf Blitzer had asked him whether, if the United States imposed a no-fly zone over Syria and a Russian plane invaded it, he would “be prepared to shoot down that Russian plane and risk war with Russia.”

“Not only would I be prepared to do it, I would do it,” Christie said, without hesitation.

“Maybe because I’m from New Jersey, I just have this kind of plain-language hang-up. But I would make very clear [and tell Vladimir Putin], ‘Listen, Mr. President, there’s a no-fly zone in Syria; you fly in, it applies to you.’ And yes, we would shoot down the planes of Russian pilots if in fact they were stupid enough to think that this president was the same feckless weakling that the president we have in the Oval Office is right now.”

you were involved in the campaign.

I think the special prosecutor will want to talk to you.

Remember Trump humiliated you by making you his errand boy.

You must be really angry. You must have a desire for revenge.

Revenge is one of the most natural human instincts.

Please spill the beans.
