Trump Failing to Track Foreign Cash at His Hotels

Source: NBC

Just before taking office, President Donald Trump promised to donate all profits earned from foreign governments back to the U.S. Treasury.

But MSNBC has learned the Trump Organization is not tracking all possible payments it receives from foreign governments, according to new admissions by Trump representatives. By failing to track foreign payments it receives, the company will be hard-pressed to meet Trump's pledge to donate foreign profits and could even increase its legal exposure.

The Trump Organization does not "attempt to identify individual travelers who have not specifically identified themselves as being a representative of a foreign government entity," according to a new company pamphlet. The policy suggests it is up to foreign governments, not Trump hotels, to determine whether they self-report their business.

That policy matches what several sources told MSNBC — Trump Organization employees are not soliciting information about whether reservations or business is from a foreign government.

It was a BS tactic to assuage the concerns over impeachable Emoluments Clause violations from Day 1 of his pResidency.

unless someone holds his feet to the fire. He was always bragging about donating money to charity of some sort, but it was usually all just a show. The man does not keep his promises. He is a fraud and a con artist.

Three reasons:

One: there's no good way to know if the money is coming from a foreign government, in a lot of cases. I remember going on TDY in the Army quite a few times...this was the bad old days before government credit cards (and as a sergeant who didn't go TDY that much I wouldn't have received one anyway) but I always received a cash advance to cover hotel rooms...a foreign government could do the same thing. He gets foreign tourists he doesn't have to return profits from, how are we to know those "tourists" were really GRU officers here to bug the Old Executive Office Building?

Two: the amount in profit he could be making from foreign governments is far exceeded by the profits he's making renting golf carts and hotel rooms and providing meals to the Secret Service when he goes golfing Every Fucking Week.

And Three: four months into his maladministration he's racked up impeachable offenses that make his Emoluments Clause problems look like fishing without a license.

and donate that to the treasury. If he can't follow the rules HE agreed to, then change the rules as punishment. When it comes to money, no one should waste their time believing anything he says. After all, he has a lot of expenses coming up.

If he were a child, you wouldn't let him get by with it. That's probably part of the problem. His parents probably didn't adhere to any type of rules/discipline and we're paying for it.
