Federal prosecutor found dead on Florida beach

Source: Associated Press

Updated 3:09 pm, Thursday, May 25, 2017

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (AP) — The body of a federal prosecutor has been found on a Florida beach with possible head trauma.

Hollywood police spokeswoman Miranda Grossman said Thursday that the body of 37-year-old Beranton J. Whisenant Jr. was found early Wednesday by a passerby on the city's beach. She said detectives are trying to determine if the death was a homicide, suicide or something else.

Whisenant worked for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Miami in its major crimes unit. He had joined the office in January. Court records show he had been handling several visa and passport fraud cases.

Acting U.S. Attorney Benjamin G. Greenberg said in a statement that Whisenant was a "great lawyer and wonderful colleague." The office declined to comment on the investigation.

Federal prosecutor found dead along the beach

A federal prosecutor who worked at the U.S. attorney’s office in Miami has been identified as the man found dead along Hollywood beach this week in a case being investigated as a crime.

Hollywood police confirmed that the deceased man is Beranton J. Whisenant Jr., 37, and that he may have suffered a head wound caused by a possible gunshot or other type of trauma.

“The investigation is still very preliminary,” Hollywood Police Department spokeswoman Miranda Grossman said, adding that detectives and the Broward medical examiner are “still looking at it.”

Whisenant, who was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2004 after graduating from the University of Florida law school, joined the U.S. attorney’s office earlier this year and worked in the major crimes section.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Tuesday, May 16, 2017
Two South Florida Residents Charged with Shooting at a U.S. Postal Service Letter Carrier

Two South Florida residents are charged with shooting at a U.S. Postal Service Letter Carrier during the performance of his official duties.

Benjamin G. Greenberg, Acting United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, Antonio J. Gomez, Postal Inspector in Charge, United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS), Miami Division, Juan J. Perez, Director, Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) made the announcement.

Jacoby Myrick, 19, of Miami, and Marques Brown, 19, of Miami, are charged in a two count indictment with Assaulting a Federal Employee, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 111(a)(1) and (b), and Discharging a Firearm in Furtherance of a Crime of Violence, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 924(c)(1)(A)(iii). Brown was arraigned today before U.S. Magistrate Judge William C. Turnoff. Brown was ordered detained pending trial. Myrick is pending an appearance before a U.S. Magistrate Judge.

According to the court record, including the indictment, on March 2, 2017, a U.S. Postal Service Letter Carrier was delivering mail at a residence in Southwest Miami-Dade County, as the home was being burglarized. Defendants Myrick and Brown allegedly fled the scene of the burglary in a single vehicle. While driving from the crime scene, one of the defendants shot at the letter carrier. The letter carrier was unharmed.

Mr. Greenberg commended the investigative efforts of the USPIS and MDPD. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Beranton J. Whisenant, Jr.

That looked to be the case with Dr Kelly ; professional killers making it look a bungled murder by amateurs, while it was claimed by their principals, the intelligence services, to look like suicide.

The reality being that we, the public would consider ourselves super-sleuths in ignoring the risble false trails, and identifying them, the spooks, as the real killers, and realising that if we make waves about wars they involve us in, they can be nice.... and not nice....
The point is they know that they are untouchable, can literally get away with murder, while pointing to it 'by indirections' as their handiwork.

We are totally in their power, although I don't think you can discount the possibility that it is necessary in that sphere, since when it comes down to it, all nation-states are at least potentially psychopaths, ergo geopolitics, itself, psychopathic ; empires so, to the power of 'n'. One could argue that Pax Britannica was a Pax 'Psychopathica' ! Iraq, Pax Saddam ; and today, Egypt : Pax Sissi. Yet until recent times, at least, the Deep State could eventually be reined in, as with Vietnam.

This was evidently a more clear-cut case of murder than mutiple bullet wounds in the head and a suicide note, and probably the work of an aggrieved mob boss.
