Scoop: Trump's comms director leaving White House

Source: Axios

Mike Dubke, President Trump's communications director, is leaving the White House — the start of a wave of changes as the West Wing struggles to cope with burgeoning scandals and a stalled agenda.

Dubke served for just three months before tendering his resignation May 18. He offered to stay through the overseas trip, and Trump accepted. He has been trying to help restructure the press and communications operation, and is parting on good terms, a senior administration official said.

Insiders say Dubke came in with few patrons, and never gelled with the originals. His departure is a reminder of how hard it is for newcomers to thrive in Trumpland.

Dubke is still coming in to work, and his last day hasn't been set. His job is likely to remain open for a bit.

the KGOP has WAY exceeded the tolerance level, even for garden-variety republican scallywags.

has their "bubble" protecting all their interests. The only people allowed in are crooks, like themselves, and Russian sympathizers. Imagine if a DEMOCRATIC president tried to get some of these dirty tricks by the public? Impeachment would have been started long ago. The gop has the representative they WANT and deserve in the WH. A raving, unhinged lunatic.

[*** WH communications director stepping down

Washington (CNN) White House communications director Mike Dubke is leaving the White House.
He told CNN Tuesday he submitted his resignation on May 18 but offered to stay until the end of President Donald Trump's foreign trip. A final day has not been set, Dubke said. It has been a privilege to serve this president," Dubke said in a phone interview.

Dubke said he had "a good conversation with the President" after submitting his resignation. He declined to discuss the turmoil inside the West Wing, only saying he was resigning "for a number of reasons -- for personal reasons." Dubke's departure comes as speculation has swirled about a possible Trump staff shakeup.

Asked about White House press secretary Sean Spicer's job security, a White House official said staffers have been told the press secretary "isn't going anywhere."

Dubke, who founded Crossroads Media, a political admaker based in Alexandria, Virginia, joined the administration in February after he was brought in by Spicer.

EDIT to add - Dubke was a founder of "Crossroads Media" which was the communications arm for Rove's American Crossroads PAC.

"We let him out for his daily press briefings, which he agrees to give under the false hope that one day we'll let him meet the Pope. Or see his kids again."

This is the first step in portraying Trump's treasonous release of information which helped our enemies (i.e., the nature of the investigative steps being taken by England after the Manchester bombing) to further his "global jihad" diatribe as errors by someone outside of his inner circle.

If Trump&Co had fired him, it would have been immediate. This guy either couldn't stomach what he was seeing, or he knew he was on a sinking ship, and wanted off before he went down with it.

I'd love to hear his story. Hope he starts talking to the press soon.

Spicey, and KellyAnn and Huckabee?

Speaking of KellyAnn - I think I saw a clip of her talking to a reporter and saying something like: If Trump says one thing and Comey says another: who are you going to believe?

And this is a question that needs a reply?
