Chelsea Clinton revealed to "The View" that Hillary Clinton's presidential loss was actually an "unexpected blessing" for the family, because of "all the time we have been able to spend together."

"We spent lots of time with my children," Chelsea Clinton explained. "My son, Aidan, is 11 months old now -- and my daughter, Charlotte, is 2-and-a-half."

Chelsea Clinton joked that her mother coped with the loss with "a little chardonnay and a lot of Charlotte. Thankfully."

She shared how her daughter's fascination with Peter Rabbit stories inspired the family to plant a garden at her parents' home in Chappaqua, New York.

"Seeing my mother and father dig in the dirt with my daughter ... was such an unforeseen gift that my daughter was giving me to see my parents in that way," Chelsea Clinton said. ..........................

We need some good news with all this doom and gloom that is going on. I am glad the Clinton family is together and finding happiness.

You can say that again.

Let me leave it there.

Instead of a corrupt Republican resigning in disgrace, using this stock phrase to imply that he is slinking off into the mud until the heat dies down, Hillary never needed to use the phrase. She just did it.

I know how it is. My 8 month old grandson gives me reasons to laugh and smile no matter what horrible things are happening in the world. He also gives me hope and desire to fight for a better world for him.

I have my first grandchild and she is the love of my life. She's a year and a half old now and I'm determined that I will do everything I can to rid our country of all this hate and negativity that the trump family and others are promoting in an attempt to ruin our country. Trump is a pig and Hillary is a wonderful role model for all young women coming up.

Trump is just fly shit on the windowsill as far as I'm concerned. The sooner he's gone the better.

Even though you've had your granddaughter for a year and a half, congratulations! Grandchildren are so wonderful! I actually have four, but the other three are teenagers. They're still a lot of fun, but as teenagers they don't spend as much time with me as they did when they were younger. That's life, and I knew it would happen. I anticipate that I'll see more of them again when they're past the teen years. I do get to be the main "taxi driver" for the two teens that live in my city, so we get to have quality time in the car. I feel fortunate that I have the time to do the driving, and it takes some of the load off of their parents.

There's a 13 year gap between the two youngest, and I didn't think I'd get to have another grandchild, so this youngest one is a super bonus. I get to have play dates with him for about 25 hours a week when both of his parents are working. It's such an honor.

Good thing she never implied that as such, then...

But I get it... when asked about our family's well-being, we should always criticize what we are not doing rather than discuss the question in fact, given

And I'm quite confident you'll allege to hold yourself to that very standard as well, regardless of how accurate the allegation may or may not be.

Personal tragedies and disappointments towards healing. I'm really glad her family was there for her and that she has such a wonderful life, even outside of her professional goals. I doubt her healing is over, though, especially while having to watch the disaster unfolding in DC. I hope she gets to see him impeached and sent away, never to be in the limelight again.

unlike agent orange's ilk. I hope Chelsea runs for office one day. If there's anyone deserving of keeping alive Hillary & Bill's legacy of public service it would be their very fortunate daughter.

What's the old saying...we don't get what we want, we get what we need?

Maybe America needs a nut case like Trump to understand that they have taken the backseat long enough. Maybe they need to be activists and involve themselves in government. Is that not what our founding fathers envisioned?

Maybe Hillary thought losing was the end of the world, when in fact she discovered the joys of spending time with family? That has to be one of the greatest gifts life has to offer. Would you deny her that so she could be in the WH, working 16-hour days?

I think if people really cared for her, they would be happy to see this unexpected event, which comes to us through a highly credible source--her daughter and firsthand observer.

Personally, I was happy to see the part about the garden. There's something about kids and gardens that is joyful and restful.
