AUGUSTA, Ga. A federal prosecutor said on Thursday that Reality Leigh Winner, the National Security Agency contractor accused of leaking a highly classified report, might have stolen or exposed other secrets before her arrest last week.
This was not the first time the defendant mishandled classified information, Jennifer G. Solari, an assistant United States attorney, said during a detention hearing, in which she described a recorded jailhouse telephone call and referred to an episode last year in which Ms. Winner placed a portable storage device into a sensitive computer.
It was not clear, either in Courtroom No. 1 or even to federal investigators, whether Ms. Winner had distributed classified information beyond a single N.S.A. report related to Russian hacking activities. But Ms. Solari said the authorities were concerned because Ms. Winner referred to documents during a telephone call with her mother.
I screwed up, Ms. Winner, 25, the first person to face prosecution by the Trump administration in connection with a leak of sensitive information, said during the call, according to Ms. Solari.

I'm wondering if perhaps the Intercept burned her to put a younger, prettier, face on the newest Leaker/Hero, since people have tired of Edward Snowden.

(678 posts)Says she was in a the AForce as a linguist since 2014.
The base she was stationed at is where they train linguists that work in tbe US. The base where they train linguists to work overseas is in CA.
The length of the linguist program is 6 years.
The math doesn't figure since she was there from 2014 till 2017. Thats 3 years.
Also, she could not have been working for a contrator while stationed in GA in the AF linguist program.
Because that is NOT allowed.
Military personell can be employed with contrators such as Booz Allen, for instance, but in the particular situation with the program she was in, she would NOT be allowed to work for a contractor.
This info was given to me by an AF "person" who sees some red flags with the story told by the news.
What is her age. 25?. The math just doesn't add up nor the laws of AF/contractor employment.
All I know is she is in deep shit with AF & Intel.
Have to ask the Intercept I guess.
Mind boggling stuff.
