GOP admits to being out of ideas: RNC buried in mockery after demanding health care plan from Cli

Source: raw story

05 Jul 2017 at 13:52 ET

The Republican National Committee challenged Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton and Democratic lawmakers to come up with their own health care plan, if they didn’t like what GOP senators were cooking up — and social media users pounced.

........................................

“Our healthcare system is collapsing, but Democrats refuse to bring anything to the table,” the RNC tweeted. “Where’s THEIR plan?”

Democratic lawmakers have said they would not participate in any efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act, which Republicans have threatened to do since it passed into law and President Donald Trump promised to do immediately upon election.

Twitter users heaped mockery on the challenge, and pointed the RNC to health care reform plans posted on the campaign websites for Hillary Clinton and Sanders.

This Medicare for all request. I feel compelled to respond at long last. Medicare is truly terrible coverage. It pales in comparison to Medicaid and most private insurance as far as I can tell. Medicare for all would wind up being very unpopular if it were to replace everything and remain as it stands currently.

propose a plan to replace. Now they have had a failure coming from the House and the Senate plan is showing a failure also, both written by Republicans They do not seem to be capable of writing a health care bill. Schumer has offered several times to work with Republicans to repair ACA, so far, the Republicans have not accepted. I hear Republican Congressional members complaining ACA will soon cost $20,000 a year, the CBO report says the AHCA will cost $20.000 a year on a salary of $50,000, this is not affordable for the AHCA plan than it is for the ACA. Democrats has also ask the same question, for the Republicans for their plan and never got a Republican plan, now they want to say the Democrats are not having an input. They do not know how to govern.

Well, actually the Heritage Foundation wrote it, but that's splitting hairs. What they don't like is that THEY didn't pass it (if they had, it would be The Greatest Thing since Things, you can bet your ass), and since it mostly works better than the nothing we had, it must not only be destroyed but made worse.

The Base of their party has been made so stupid at the behest of the Party that they're now too stupid to actually help the Party....

Oh well sucks to be them.

That this country indulged these lunatics by giving them a massive mid term sweep in 2010 screaming about how THEIR version of health care reform is the biggest threat to democracy was a precursor and early stage of the cancer that gave us 45.

The stupid in this country didn't start on November 8th.

The Dem. Party has a plan. It's called the ACA. The Dems are willing to work on it, which DOES NOT REQUIRE A NEW PLAN. The Repubs won't work on fixing the ACA. It's the Repubs who are requiring a new plan.

They have failed miserably and I guess will end up just kicking millions off health care. It's hard to come up with a health care plan when you actually don't want to give access to health care, but you want to appear to be doing so. Tricky.

Even if the Dems had a NEW plan, it wouldn't matter, since they have no power to enact it, and the Repubs won't work with them. They weren't included in any of the talks about health care, or consulted, or included in the select committee to come up with the new glorious plan that kicks 22 Million off health care.

They're to be pitied, at this point. "Where's your plan?" Um... Unlike you guys, WE came up with one. WE battled it out, in spite of you and your constant obstruction. WE did it in public, hearing after hearing after hearing from which no one, including any of you, was shut out. WE persisted. In a very long slog. And we got it done - and actually HELPED people, by the millions! What've YOU got? Besides one big fat payout to comfort the already VERY comfortable, and one big fat dry nothingburger for those who need help the most.

...The Rethugs have had 8 years to come up with a replacement and what do they do? Throw some shit together at the last minute in the House and Senate like a bunch of back bench hacks. It took months and months to craft the ACA, since healthcare is one of the largest and most complex parts of our economy. They're like a bunch of drunken frat boys, throwing some shit together at the last minute, turning it in a day late and asking for full credit. I ask again, what the fuck have Ryan, McDumbass and their merry band of freaks and rejects been doing the last 8 fucking years?! I can imagine a few things I won't name, but it sure as hell isn't coming up with a workable healthcare solution.

They have nothing, I believe, because deep down they don't want to replace at all. They want to simply go back to pre-ACA, go off and die somewhere...life time caps, pre-existing conditions and all the rest. But unfortunately for them the cat's out of the bag and most of their knuckle dragging, mouth breathing base wants a replacement without all the medieval, pre-ACA nightmare. What to do....what to do? I know! How about Ryan, McDumbass and their band of scumbags go off and die somewhere.

The Democrats already came up with their plan and the Republicans called it Obamacare. And, even though it blew the fuse on the computers on its first day out, it worked pretty good .... a darn sight better than a lot of Republican schemes. In fact, it happens to be pretty popular now, even with people who originally were against it.

If the ACA is not firing on all cylinders the solution is not to junk it altogether. The solution is to do some careful tinkering, so fine tuning, a few amendments here and there, gradually, patiently, to see how things work out.
