Marc Kasowitz spokesman Mark Corallo resigns: Report

Source: Washington Examiner

Mark Corallo, a spokesman for President Trump's outside legal team, has resigned, according to multiple reports on Thursday.

John Santucci, a senior editorial producer, first reported the news, and said that there is no word yet from Corallo himself. The Washington Post also reported Corallo's ouster.

Corallo has been putting out statements on behalf of Marc Kasowitz, Trump's personal lawyer who is representing the president in any matter concerning the investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 election and possible collusion with the Trump campaign.

3. I'm guessing it's the Prez's plan to go after Mueller. Corallo thinks VERY highly of Mueller.

He's said that you won't hear him say a bad word about Mueller. He has also said that Mueller is not one who would do "mission creep," meaning that he would go beyond where he should go.

Carolla has said that Mueller is the father you want, the brother you want, the man you want your daughter to marry. If Mueller doesn't find anything, he'll say so.

So he leaves one day after Trump signals publicly that he may fire Mueller and that they'll go after conflicts of interest (a personal attack against Mueller) and Mueller crossing a red line if he gets into Trump's finances not regarding Russia.

That...and maybe Corallo realized Trump is guilty of something, when he started asking about who he could pardon.

Mueller's staff, to investigate and see if they can discredit any of them. the republican Draft-Dodger-in-Chief, Comrade Casino, has given the rancid order as is being widely reported today.

This is a full-scale KGOP attack on America and the American justice system.

tRump associates with are all sleazy. Decent honest people avoid him like the plague. He is so used to mob like associates, and back door dealing that when someone DECENT comes along he can not fathom HOW anyone can be honest. He thinks "everyone has their price". Well, he just hit a brick wall of DECENT HONEST lawyers, who want what is best for the country, not themselves. Compare their resumes with the representatives who would consider working for tRump. tRump has to claw at the bottom of the barrel. The team Mueller has are all PROUD to associate with him and his team. Am I the only one who thinks Mueller looks more presidential than the Orange Glow clown in office now? Much more intelligent, respected and worthy.

as a self defeating client.
wonder if he ever got paid....

For all of Trump's bluster about having so many lawyers for so many years, and suing people, the truth seems to be his cases were either dismissed or settled, for the most part.
All growl, little bite.

8. Keep in mind that a lawyer cannot divulge if their client admits breaking the law

But if they see their client breaking the law they are required to report it just like any other citizen. Otherwise they are complicit.

9. FYI Washington Examiner is a conservative publication...

owned by billionaire Philip Anschutz, a supporter of religious right perspectives.

From Wikipedia:

When Anschutz first started the Examiner in its daily newspaper format, he envisioned creating a competitor to The Washington Post with a conservative editorial line. According to Politico, "When it came to the editorial page, Anschutz's instructions were explicit—he 'wanted nothing but conservative columns and conservative op-ed writers,' said one former employee." The Examiner's writers have included Michael Barone, Tim Cavanaugh, David Freddoso, Tara Palmeri, Rudy Takala, and Byron York.

Freddoso, the editor of their opinion page, has written several books bashing, err critiquing President Obama, including one with the delightful title Gangster Government: Barack Obama and the New Washington Thugocracy.

Please consider not linking DU to these folks. Any breaking story covered by them will also appear on the major news outlets.

Those of us without pet birds would toss it unopened and unread straight into the recycle bin. After about a month they appeared to give up and as far as I could tell, no one in my neighborhood actually subscribed to it.
