Investigators want phone records on Trump Jr.-Russia meeting

Source: CBSNEWS

Congressional investigators are interested in obtaining phone records pertaining to Donald Trump Jr.'s June 9, 2016 Trump Tower meeting with a Russian lawyer, CBS News has confirmed.

CBS News' Jeff Pegues reports that a congressional source says there is "high interest" in obtaining cell phone records and phone records in general around the meeting, which Trump Jr. had agreed to because he had been led to believe that the lawyer had damaging information about Hillary Clinton.

And there is also interest in the email accounts of all of those involved in the meeting. In addition to Trump Jr., Jared Kushner and Paul Manafort also attended the gathering. A congressional source says "we want all relevant documents" connected to the people in the meeting. Investigators would want to know all that was discussed between the parties, before, during and after the meeting.

Kushner weaseled out of this saying he was only in the meeting for 5 minutes and then he got called out to another meeting. OK so the phone records need to show that.

Kushner said he never was told what the meeting was about, because Eric didn't call him and explain it. He only sent a broadcast email with no specific info. OK the phone records need to demonstrate that, or maybe Kushner got caught in another lie.

They're all weasels, and now they're starting to point fingers at each other. We can't believe anything they say.

3. He's already admitted to being there, to using it. He's basically at no-win.

If he used a burner, then that's intent to conceal. If he destroyed, that's also a form of obstruction. He's kinda fucked no matter what.

Plus he loves to shoot off his mouth. My bet is he's told other people about his big-boy meeting to get the supposed dirt on Hillary.

the promoter that arranged the meeting had direct access to Trump through his assistant. He even mentioned the possibility of calling Trump himself. I want the investigators to review Trump's phone records to see if any of the people involved called.
