Trump threatens to shut down government to build border wall

Source: The Hill

President Trump on Tuesday threatened to shut down the government, if necessary, to make sure his proposed border wall with Mexico is approved and funded by lawmakers.

"Build that wall. Now the obstructionist Democrats would like us not to do it, but believe me we have to close down our government, we're building that wall," Trump said Tuesday during a rally in Phoenix, Ariz.

Funding for Trump's proposed border wall, a promise that was at the center of his 2016 presidential bid, is poised to be the center of debate this fall as Congress negotiates a new government funding bill.

If a new bill is not passed, the government will shut down on Oct. 1.

Democrats, however, are staunchly opposed to funding for the wall, setting up a challenge and tense negotiating over the government's funding.

What does he think will happen when all those military folk don't get their paycheck and can't buy food for their families? Or when all of us who rely on our SS checks to pay the rent, keep the utilities on, and buy our food? How does he think his supporters will respond when their checks stop coming, or their parents SS checks stop coming, or the check for insurance premiums for their Medicare Plus plans stop rolling into the insurance companies?

He and his supporters are incredibly stupid!

How to Build Trump’s Wall - Privatize It

Republicans have often found a way to tax people surreptitiously by privatizing many public works projects to corporations rather than have gov’t pay for it. A fee is a tax under another name.

The corporations/investors are granted a multi-year license with a guaranteed profit.

This could also be done with Trump’s Wall with Mexico.

Corporations/investors front the money to build it and they will be paid by Mexico.

It gives republicans a chance to save the gov’t money by investing in it and show their confidence in Trump’s word that Mexico will pay for it .

No gov’t backed bonds.

No cost to the gov’t,,, no need for taxes,,, profit for the patriotic investors who believe in Trump.

Win win all around.

Even Trump can show his patriotism and shrewd business savvy by investing in it.

I seriously doubt he will run again in 2020 and I know he doesn't give a single shit about what it will do to the Republican party.
