Microsoft urges Trump to keep DACA

Microsoft is urging President Trump not to end a program that protects hundreds of thousands of people brought to the country illegally as children from deportation.
We are deeply concerned by news reports about changes to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) that are under consideration, Microsofts Chief Legal Officer Brad Smith wrote in a blog post on Thursday.
These changes would not only negatively impact thousands of hardworking people across the United States, but will be a step backwards for our entire nation..................
Ending DACA will drastically disrupt the lives of these individuals who willingly came forward to register with the federal government," Smith wrote. They could lose their jobs and risk deportation.

(21,480 posts)..it's just sickening and disgusting. This country is big enough and wealthy enough to accommodate all who come to these shores. His base (no college educated white men) is angry to see college educated POC, immigrants, transgenders, Muslims, DACA students progressing in this country. Thing is his base could progress to, they just have chosen not to and want to be handed opportunities.
The majority of us in this country are not part of the 1% wealthy elite in this country, we've worked (and hard) for what we have.
His base needs to stop blaming others and take ownership of their life situations.
