Jeff Sessions DOJ To Put Woman Who Laughed At Jeff Sessions On Trial Yet Again

Source: Huff post

Desiree Fairooz’s brief chuckle during the attorney general’s confirmation hearing in January has turned into a nine-month ordeal, and it’s not over yet.
By Ryan J. Reilly

WASHINGTON ― Jeff Sessions’ Justice Department plans to put a woman who laughed at the now-attorney general back on trial yet again, a federal prosecutor told a D.C. judge here on Friday.

.............................................

Fairooz and her lawyer rejected a plea deal offered by the government in which she would have pleaded guilty to one of two charges in exchange for the government recommending a sentence of time served, Assistant U.S. Attorney Kimberly Paschall said in D.C. Superior Court on Friday.

Chief Judge Robert E. Morin previously tossed out a jury’s guilty verdict against Fairooz in July because the government had improperly argued that her laughter alone was enough to convict.

......................................
While introducing Sessions, Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) claimed his colleague had a “clear and well-documented” record of “treating all Americans equally under the law.” Fairooz found that laughable. So she laughed...............................

women are afraid men will kill them.

Yet, they still laugh at us.

when did laughing become a crime? If they don't want people laughing at the absurdity of appointing an open racist as attorney general then they can clear out the audience or appoint someone who's less of an asshole.

in Republicans, along with the "honesty gene", the "fairness gene", the "empathy gene", the "truth gene", the "ethics gene", and just about every other gene that makes one a decent human being. They never received the approval and love of their parents, and it certainly shows. That's why they spend their entire lives trying to screw over everyone possible.

Loathsome beings, all.

Stalin-era Soviets would hold show trials and force people to attend.

The Soviets would then have people watching the audience for negative facial expressions such as eye rolling, looks of disgust, etc. Those people were arrested for dissent and sent to the gulag.

I don't see how this is any different.

mean spirited and childish action on the part of Jeff Sessions and his 'department of justice' to please write your Democratic Senators and Representative about this. The right wing is trying to make it hard for the people to push back. The Koch brothers are working on another union busting crusade. Trump is getting rid of regulations right and left. The Republicans want more giant tax cuts for rich people. Republican controlled legislatures across the nation are passing voter suppression measures. The Republicans have proved they would betray this nation we love to a hostile foreign power just to win an election.

Now they are trying to chain us by making us afraid to demonstrate.

Don't let it happen. Push back. Write and call your US Senators and Representatives. This is serious. We must nip this in the bud.

Because she just giggled during Sessions' confirmation hearing. That's it. Remember that scumbag asshole from Texas who yelled, "Liar!" during Obama's first State of the Union address? Nothing happened to that sick fuck. Nothing.

But now the whole weight of the Federal Government is on top of an old woman who laughed during a hearing.

That is NOT OK.

You must know this...it is how our government works. There are many stories about how US Senators and Representatives have used the bully pulpit to pressure big corporations, police departments and other entities to cease and desist unjust actions. It is said that lifting the rock and exposing evil like this makes it shrivel up in the light.

I'm just trying to shed a little more light on it.

And, it doesn't hurt that my Senators and Representative know I'm paying attention out here. Keeps them honest.

All that angst inside his little mind quietly screaming to get out with that passive agressive anal control he learned from mother dearest while kneeling by his bed at nightime, hand firmly pressed, oh so firmly pressed together waiting, waiting in prayer for the holy spirit to come and cleanse, oh so cleans those nasty sins away with mother dearest's special holy touch helping the spirit find the filthiest most corruptable parts and pray, pray, pray for the salvation of jesus to not alow the woman cursed by the fruit of the tree of good and evil to laugh at little Jeffy and take away the joy of cleansing salvation for all who seek its pain an ecstacy in heaven.
