Trump pens op-ed: We need to fix 'self-destructive tax code'

President Trump penned an op-ed calling for the country to fix its tax code.
In an op-ed in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Trump said the country's "self-destructive tax code costs Americans millions of jobs, trillions of dollars and billions of hours spent on compliance and paperwork."
"To fix this, we have made the foundation of our job creation agenda fundamentally reforming our tax code for the first time in more than 30 years," Trump wrote in the op-ed. "I want to work with Congress on a plan that is pro-growth, pro-jobs, pro-worker and pro-American."
Trump said the tax plan would "dramatically reduce" income taxes for American workers and families." He added that the tax plan would "nearly double the standard deduction to help families get ahead."

(32,577 posts)... and I will add that any suggested tax code revisions will only help the one-percenters.
The only new tax plan we need in the country is one that removes *all loopholes* so everyone pays their share, no more no less.

(15,805 posts)He just signed his name on a paper (and probably didn't even read it, let alone understand what he was signing) concocted by some sort of shadowy rightwing group that wants to promote corporate welfare and put profits over people. The GOP has pushed this trickle down hoax ever since Reagan, but it has NEVER worked, just look at Kansas for the real world disaster Republicans created there.

I wouldn't believe that he had written an op-ed unless I personal locked him into a room with nothing more than a pen and a blank pad of paper. Of course, I would sabotage him by leaving several buckets of KFC in the room...

No one has ever penned such a very very very good op-ed.
it was tremendous.
believe me.
some very good people have penned op-eds.
this might be the best op-ed by a president ever in the united states.
we'll see.

What do you think, folks? Did Americans for Prosperity (the Koch Brothers' group), the American Enterprise Institute (the George W. Bush Administration - all Shrub's main players work there) or Americans for Tax Reform (Grover Norquist's group) write this thing? We know Trump did NOT - the guy delegates everything he can; if he could order people to go to the latrine for him, he would - but who actually DID? Don't say it has to be one of the three; all three groups have Trump's ear, and all three march in lockstep on tax cuts.
