WH Won't Say If Trump Would Extend DACA If Congress Can't Pass A Solution

Source: Talking Points Memo

By ESME CRIBB Published SEPTEMBER 5, 2017 2:35 PM

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Tuesday made clear that Congress is on the hook to find a solution after President Donald Trump terminated the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

During her daily briefing, Sanders declined to say whether Trump would sign an extension to the program, which granted legal protection to undocumented immigrants who entered the United States as children.

Sanders said only that Trump “is hoping to work with Congress on responsible immigration reform.”

A Department of Homeland Security official told reporters Tuesday morning that current DACA recipients whose permits expire before March 5, 2018 will be eligible to apply for a renewal of their protections, but those whose permits expire later will be eligible for deportation immediately afterward.

I appreciate that they hate me too. I'm OK with that.

I'd question my entire existence if a republican even liked me, much less loved me.

that if you are a dreamer from El Salvador le Honduras, investigate if you might be eligible for Temporary Protected Status. If Congress doesn't cancel it too.

This was the orange assailant playing to his racist base even if he knew it was gonna be a "political" shitstorm. His mouth has written a check that his ass now has to cash, and he's afraid to blink because he's running a game. He's PRAYING the rest of the GOP will save him from this (well, assuming he's actually sentient which is open for debate...)

He blundered ahead with this and now he needs saving. Dems will help because it's the humane thing to do, and he'll claim it as a victory because he forced the issue.

You watch...when Congress starts debating DACA and immigration security. Republicans will vote for DACA IF Trump gets BILLIONS for his stupid ass wall.

He is holding these people hostage.

He is the lowest of the low, beneath the scum of the Earth. And our Congress, naturally, will fall right in line with him.
