Active shooter reported at New Hampshire medical center
17 min ago
LEBANON, N.H. (AP) Police say they are investigating reports of an active shooter at New Hampshire's largest hospital, where some people have been evacuated.
Lebanon police said Tuesday they are investigating reports of an active shooter at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. People were told to avoid the area, and traffic was stopped on a route leading to the hospital. There has been no confirmation of a shooting.
WCAX-TV reports an employee said all workers received an email from the hospital about a "code silver," telling them to get out if possible and otherwise to shelter in place.
A spokesman for the hospital, Mike Barwell, would say only that they have reported "an incident" to the police and officers are responding.

Doesn't seem very camouflage-y to me.
Compared to other hospital complexes around the country, this one is probably small, but it's huge by northern NH standards and the go-to regional hospital for pretty much everything non-routine. There's probably thousands of people there every day - staff, patients, visitors, etc. No details yet beyond the WMUR report - http://www.wmur.com/article/dartmouth-hitchcock-medical-center-evacuated-after-issuing-active-shooter-alert/12230116 - but kudos for ending it quickly, and (thoughts and prayers) without casualties.

Authorities said Travis Frink, 49, of Warwick, Rhode Island, is expected to be arraigned Wednesday on first-degree murder charges in Grafton Superior Court for the shooting just before 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.
