Trump met with the two top congressional Democrats over dinner at the White House in a search for common ground that could make it easier to get a tax-cut package through Congress.
...........................

Earlier, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said tax reductions would be paid for by faster economic growth.

The White House and the Republican-led Congress have yet to put forth a detailed tax plan, despite months of high-level talks that had until recent days excluded Democrats. ...............

"Chuck & Nancy" seem to be his new besties. They're going to play him like a well tuned strat (stratocaster that is)

Seriously though. His thin skin got a boo boo when his own party didn't make him popular, so now he's going to bring his game to the other side.

We need to treat him the way he treats everyone else. Take him for all he has then dump him at the curb.

He does that so they come running back to him for his attention and favor. It usually works for him.

It will not work well with two seasoned politicians like Schumer and Pelosi. They know how to play him.

Tip O'Neill, as Speaker of the House attended a weekly poker game with Ronald Reagan. They were friends.

Tip got one of what he needed for Democrats but Ronald Reagan got something too.
that working together may have helped Reagan get a second term. Also he was never called to account on Iran-Contra, even though he was the president

Diane Feinstein's comment plus the new coziness, makes me wonder what Trump is getting.

The Democratic leadership will always try to work with a Republican president.

In this situation, however, I find it a little worrisome because I consider Trump to be a totally illegitimate president, installed in the Oval Office by Russia.

Schumer and Pelosi are nuts and bolts people, and I know Schumer wants to see the election as due to just needing a few more white male votes.

Neither Schumer or Pelosi are strong on foreign policy. I don't think they see the big picture.

Many will fall for it, because the media will spew out the lies like truth—happily.
