Mnuchin just responded to criticism that he requested a government jet for his European honeymoon
Source: Washington Post
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin responded to reports Thursday that he had requested a military jet to fly him and his wife, Louise Linton, to their European honeymoon over the summer, a revelation that raised new questions about the wealthy couple's use of government aircraft.
Mnuchin said his staff had explored the idea among a host of ways to ensure that he had access to secure communications and information as he traveled aboard.
Let me be clear. Im very sensitive to the use of government funds. Ive never asked the government to pay for my personal travel, he said in an interview at an event hosted by Politico.

Steven Mnuchin and his wife are exactly what Bernie Sanders and his revolution are against, and precisely what Progressives despise.

Well, that didn't quite work out like you thought it would. But, at least you're sticking it to evil libruls. And you escaped Hillary and her emails.

(15,805 posts)the activities of anyone who tries to abuse tax money for their own personal gain. Likewise, your assertion that Progressives would despise oversight of scofflaws like Mnuchin, seems deliberately unfounded and inflammatory, and directly aimed to provoke most of people here at DU. Why is that?

(28,151 posts)I had to re-read that sentence to understand. not speaking for the OP but it seems to me it's being stated that Bernie's against it and Progressives despise it. Not particularly clever wording and one wonders why Sanders and Progressives are listed individually but, the point being, I think they are described as on the same page here.

Hey douche, your boss tweets the world on his little insecure commercial grade phone, I'm betting you can get by with the same stuff he uses.
