Hillary Clinton Book-Signing Draws More Than 1,000 To Brookfield Costco

Source: Hartford Courant

At the head of a serpentine line of Hillary Clinton supporters, Tony Bosco-Schmidt had 18 hours to practice what he’d say when he met the former presidential candidate at his local Costco in Brookfield.

“I hear we have seven seconds,” Bosco-Schmidt said before settling on “Thank you. Thank you for your service, and I admire you.”

Bosco-Schmidt joined more than a 1,000 others at his local Costco Saturday for the chance for a brief conversation and to get a signed copy of Clinton’s new book, “What Happened,” about the 2016 presidential campaign. Clinton’s 15-city book tour came to Connecticut after starting in New York this week.

Many of the people who showed up in Saturday morning for the two-hour signing event wondered why Clinton was coming to Brookfield, a town of 16,400 that has not backed a Democratic presidential candidate since Lyndon B. Johnson, and which voted for Clinton’s opponent, Donald J. Trump, by a large majority.

Nice story, and nice video at the link. She's still overwhelmingly loved, especially in New England! People slept in the parking lot overnight to see her, and there were thousands in the parking lot.

And the only thing she should be doing is secluding herself from the public eye for the rest of her days, or at least agreeing not to speak of 2016 ever again.

At least that's what I keep hearing on tv and on the internet thingy!

There was no chance of getting in. All of the books they had were sold, too. Thrilled for my neighbors who got to meet her, though!

....in a very red town. Despite the fact that overall Connecticut is a very blue state, there's a very vocal right wing cadre. I wouldn't be surprised if the Courant has comments planted just to encourage other comments.

I read these comment because you mentioned them, but for the most part I've stopped reading any others because they're so nasty.

This is what 35% approval rating looks like. The supporters Trump claims to have are all fake bots on Twitter.

After the beating the republicans tried to give her, she is finally getting her moment.

Still, she should be the president instead of that insanely stupid orange fuck that's in there now.
