Senate GOP fast-tracks last-ditch ACA repeal

Source: SF Gate

WASHINGTON - Senate Republican leaders seem increasingly focused on reviving their effort to undo the Affordable Care Act before the end of the month, asking Congress's nonpartisan budget analysts to fast-track consideration of a plan that would devolve federal health-care spending to the states.

The Congressional Budget Office is in the process of estimating the cost and coverage impact of the Graham-Cassidy bill, according to a senior Senate Republican aide. The measure from Sens. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., Bill Cassidy, R-La., Ron Johnson, R-Wis., and Dean Heller, R-Nev., would provide states with funding to establish health insurance programs outside ACA protections and mandates, an approach that could force millions off insurance rolls.

Republicans are facing pressure to undercut the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, with legislation as soon as possible, partially because the Senate's ability to pass budgetary legislation with a simple majority expires Sept. 30. After that date, health-care legislation will require 60 votes to pass, making it much harder for Republicans to approve legislation that would restructure Obamacare.

Democrats are taking the latest chatter seriously, and liberal lawmakers spent the weekend slamming the bill on social media.

Democrats and Progressives do not understand or appreciate how passionate Republicans are about giving tax cuts to the rich. Think about how we might feel about health care, immigrants, climate change, social security and racial equality. Times that by 100 and that is how Republicans feel about giving tax cuts to millionaires and billionaires.

upon forcing millions of Americans to lose the only healthcare insurance they have? Is it their hate of Obama? Is it their hate for the millions of Americans who can't afford premium healthcare insurance without government assistance? And why do Republican voters want to kill fellow Americans? I'm at a loss. I thought enough Republican voters started liking the ACS that their Representatives and Senators were against repealing it? Is this just because of Trump's naive and ignorant campaign promises?

WHAT THE FUCK IS IT? Can anyone answer that question for me?

Genocide is intentional action to destroy a people (usually defined as an ethnic, national, racial, or religious group) in whole or in part.

They want to implement a program directed against specific groups of Americans...the poor, the elderly, the disabled! Knowing that their machinations will result in pain, suffering, and death of members of those specific groups...this is basic genocide!

Because at the core of the libertarian is a hatred of modern civilization and the poor. They simply don't believe that the poor should be helped or treated with any respect.

They believe the rich should have it all because they believe in the laws of the jungle.

and bankrupt people. The GOP is a party of greedy, hypocritical sociopaths. They are as deranged and sick (mentally) as the fake prez.

This was originally posted on DU on Sept 6 yet the Dems (who knew about it) didn't mention it, the MSM didn't mention it and the GOP has been buying votes since traitor McCain gave his famous grandstanding "thumbs down" on July 26. Also, hurricanes, Hillary's book, and Medicare for All/Single payer all provided the needed distractions for McConnell to make sure the GOP gets their MUCH need victory before the calendar expires in two weeks.

I have been calling all the senators AGAIN! This is cruel and unnecessary mental torture for those who desperately need the ACA (physically and financially). Sorry to say but I am one of them and I have had it with them playing their BS games with me for 7 months over this issue. I can't take much more of this...SERIOUSLY!

PLEASE call (202)224-3121 Thank you!
