Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) said Wednesday he could give 10 reasons why this bill shouldnt be considered, referring to the Senates final attempt to repeal Obamacare this yearbut hes still dead-set on supporting it.
Grassley said keeping Republicans campaign promise to get rid of former President Obamas signature accomplishment was as important as the contents of the most recent health care bill, penned by Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Bill Cassidy (R-LA).
You know, I could maybe give you 10 reasons why this bill shouldnt be considered, Grassley told Iowa reporters on a call, according to the Des Moines Register. But Republicans campaigns on this so often that you have a responsibility to carry out what you said in the campaign.
Thats pretty much as much of a reason as the substance of the bill, he added.

(10,097 posts)What a pathetic statement. They are all so corrupt and of course all doing their best to dismantle everything President Obama accomplished. I really really wish we could get back to some sanity.

(19,198 posts)of Washington Republicans are in dire need of spinal replacements. They can't admit they were wrong about the ACA, so they have to continue with this grotesque abomination of their "wealthcare" plan. They're disgusting, and they're murderers.

(15,805 posts)who will be impacted by that awful bill? This about Grassley and every Republican in Congress trying to say their sorry asses by appeasing the worst of their troglodyte voters and hoping that's enough to keep them in power.

(2,574 posts)Boom. MurrayAlexander "bipartisan" discussions immediately shutdown by R's. And, as all these R's have just been reminded, to vote against Graham Cassidy is to vote against their employers (the Kochs)
Let's see if any R Senators at all don't work for the Koch Bros. They don't give a whit what's in this bill; the Koch Bros are
demanding this be passed NOW.
