Mnuchin: No absolute tax cut for upper class 'was never a pledge'

Source: The Hill

BY REBECCA SAVRANSKY - 09/24/17 10:01 AM EDT

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin on Sunday said he never made a "pledge" that there would be no absolute tax cut for the upper class in the administration's tax plan.

During an interview on CNN's "State of the Union," Mnuchin was asked about previous comments, in which he said there would be no absolute tax cut for the upper class.

"Can you reaffirm that pledge that there will be 'no absolute tax cut for the upper class," CNN's Jake Tapper asked Mnuchin.

"It was never a promise. It was never a pledge...It was what the president's objective was," Mnuchin said.

Get real, a self-described billionaire squatting in the White House - how could anyone NOT expect him to advocate for the rich?

Yep, pretty much the definition of a demagogue.

Trump and Mnuchin will probably also take a run at the Alternative Minimum Tax.

this so-called administration, Mr Mnuchin would have to be right up there among the top contenders. And it is certainly an impressive cast of people one would not wish to associate with at any level.

Anyone who pays one tiny bit of attention has always known that tax cuts for the rich (especially drumpf personally) are part of the basic reason this administration exists. It's always and forever just about drumpfs personal profit and revenge, he doesnt give a shit about anything else.

Thats the deal with healthcare and why drumpf doesn't give a shit what's n the bill besides taking tons of $ from poor and working class and giving it to himself and other 1%ers. Still wondering exactly what Russia promised if he destroys NATO as well as this country?
