RSC chairman: McConnell should call it a career

Source: The Hill

BY ALEXANDER BOLTON - 09/29/17 11:11 AM EDT

The chairman of the Republican Study Committee says Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) should step down as Senate majority leader.

“I think he’s a huge part of the problem,” Rep. Mark Walker (R-N.C.) told NBC News, comparing McConnell to the manager of a losing baseball team. He noted that usually when a team goes on a bad losing streak, it’s the manager, not the players, who are fired.

“There’s a growing consensus that would be very happy if the fine senator from Kentucky called it a career,” Walker told NBC. Walker leads a group of 150 conservative House GOP lawmakers.

House members have been increasingly frustrated with the Senate, which this week failed again to make progress on ObamaCare repeal.

I'm happy with Sen. McConnell's performance as Senate Majority Leader, and I wish that you would leave Senate business to the senators. If you have a burning desire to continue to interfere, then I suggest that you get yourself elected to the Senate.

I wish someone would ask him how he enjoyed working in the refugee camps of europe, he made the statement that he had done that, but no-one can find any record of it. His office employees were very vague and did not want to talk about it.
