Teachers union gets restraining order against O'Keefe video venture

Source: Politico

By JOSH GERSTEIN 09/29/2017 07:57 PM EDT

The Michigan chapter of a major teachers union has obtained a temporary restraining order against an organization run by conservative provocateur James O’Keefe.

Wayne County Circuit Judge Brian Sullivan issued the order Friday that blocks Project Veritas and a woman said to be working with the group, Marisa Jorge, from disclosing videos or other information gathered during an undercover operation carried out against the American Federation of Teachers office in Detroit.

AFT alleges that Jorge, using the name Marissa Perez, obtained an internship at AFT beginning in May of this year and that during the internship she often acted suspiciously.

Jorge “showed an interest in charter schools and in instances of educators who had supposedly engaged in ‘sexting'’ with students; there were no such instances,” the court complaint says. “Over the next three months Defendant engaged Plaintiff’s staff and regularly sought information which was beyond her assignment. … Defendant Jorge appeared at Plaintiff’s work site wearing adornments which are capable of hiding a camera or recording device. She wore large pearls, large glasses and clothing with buttons capable of hiding a camera.”

make a documentary of harassment by the teacher's union. That could be just as damning as the film they intended to make.

should try to find gainful employment. He is NOT good at this "provocateur" stuff. He has failed at all those undercover projects he has tried. Give it up, Jimmy, get a REAL job. At what point do the people (tRump) get tired of handing him $$$ for zero results? That ugly face of his can be recognized in any crowd. Looks like someone slapped the s**t out of hm when he was younger. His face is on sideways.

after being caught trying to bug Mary Landrieu's office when she was in the Senate.

But ironically, I found an interesting dKos blog post from 2010 about that incident with some speculation on who might have really been behind it. Given what is going on today with Drumpf-Russia, maybe that poster was onto something.

If so then the woman filed fraudulent federal and state forms and was aided by O'Keefe. Why isn't the Wayne County DA all over this? Perhaps some time in a Michigan correctional facility (where they can't be pardoned by their BFF Trump) will change their point of view.

The University of Michigan should also sue Project Veritas for using their name and reputation to gain the internship.

Congress to vote overwhelmingly to defund ACORN. Maybe not skillful, but he got the job done and Democratic fortunes have tanked since ACORN went under.

I was wondering from the headline who would be going after artist, Georgia O'Keefe, after she's long dead.
