When White House Chief of Staff John Kelly condemned a Miami congresswoman on Thursday for sneering at President Donald Trump’s condolence call to a soldier’s widow, the retired general recalled when the two attended a somber ceremony in Miramar to dedicate a new FBI building named after two slain FBI agents.

Kelly criticized Democratic U.S. Rep. Frederica Wilson for claiming “she got the money” for the new building during the 2015 ceremony while he and others in the audience were focused on the heroism of agents Benjamin Grogan and Jerry Dove, killed during a 1986 shootout with bank robbers south of Miami.

Thursday night, Wilson said Kelly got the story flat-out wrong. In fact, she said Washington approved the money before she was even in Congress. The legislation she sponsored named the building after Grogan and Dove, a law enacted just days before the ceremony.

“He shouldn't be able to just say that, that is terrible,” Wilson said of Kelly’s remarks in the White House briefing room, the latest volley in the controversy over Trump’s condolence call to a military widow from Miami Gardens, an area Wilson represents. “This has become totally personal.”

Take this backhand you "Empty barrel ni@@er woman" speech today. Kelly's done NOTHING to control tRumputin. He agrees with tRumputin and only disagrees with his tactics--with the WAY tRumputin says and does the CRAZY things that he says and does. Kelly's NOT doing anything honorable in changing tRumputin's diapers IMHO--He's ENABLING him. John Kelley is an ENABLER. Also, he pretty much said, while disrespecting congresswoman Wilson, that what she said WAS indeed the truth about how tRumputin disrespected the Johnson family, La David Johnson's memory, and his 6th months pregnant, widowed wife. I now don't have any respect for Gen Kelly. tRump slandered the Khan family, and when Khan's father nobly defended his family's honor, tRump doubled-down and continued to insult/slander the Khan Family, and Kelly seemed to be blaming the Khan family for tRumputin's actions from last summer's events. He swiped @ Gold Star Moms Khan/Johnson and at Congressperson Wilson and defended a 5 deferment, racist, lying, chicken hawk--calling him brave. Kelly called brave a man who said that racists pieces of crap who were carrying Tiki torches and shouting racist slogans in Virginia where Heather Heyer was MURDERED "good" people.

Just because Kelly's friend told him that his son knew the job was dangerous when he took it so to speak, doesn't mean that you tell EVERYONE whose lost a family member in the same way. Consoling/discussing with a family/widow about their loved one's death is not a one size fits all situation. How can you callously laugh while telling someone "Well, your son/daughter/husband knew the job was dangerous when they took it." Also, ow do you forget La David Johnson's NAME?WHO DOES THAT?

I thank Kelly and his son for their military service to this country. But, on he defended and called "brave" the weasel who politicized his son's death, the weasel who disrespected/slandered the Khan family, while at the same time disrespecting the Johnson family/La David's widow/La David's Mom and called congresswoman Wilson an "empty barrel." Kelly would not even say Wilson's name. He DEFENDED the man who politicized his son's death, and in doing so, he's tied his lot to a treasonous, self-described p***y-grabbing, racist, POS president who hates veterans, our military and Gold Star families.

History will not be kind to Kelly, and it really won't be kind to the treasonous, racist, man he defended and called BRAVE.

Now called the Benjamin P. Grogan and Jerry L. Dove Federal Building, U.S. Rep. Frederica S. Wilson, D-Miami, was credited with pushing naming legislation through Congress in four weeks that was signed Tuesday by President Barack Obama in time for Friday's ceremonies.

"Rep. Wilson truly did the impossible, and we are eternally grateful," FBI Director James Comey said.
