Bannon rips Bush, Silicon Valley 'lords of technology'

Source: Politico

ANAHEIM, Calif. — Issuing a defiant call to arms to grassroots Republicans, former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon railed Friday against dangerous “global elites” and the Silicon Valley “lords of technology” whom he said are robbing U.S. citizens of jobs, wealth and opportunity.

“They want all the benefits of a free society...all the benefits of this rules-based international order,’’ including lucrative trade deals and capital markets, he said, while “we the citizens of the United States...underwrite the whole thing.”

Bannon also launched a blistering attack on a former President George W. Bush — who this week delivered a rebuke of President Donald Trump — casting him as a tool of those globalists.

“You are a sanctuary state — and trust me, if you do not roll this back, 10 or 15 years from now, the folks in Silicon Valley and the progressive left in this state are going to try to secede from the Union.”

Bannon's sounding crazier and crazier as he convinces himself more every day of his own great importance.

Breitbart's become so pathetically worshipful of their Jabba the Hutt that I'm surprised they don't have a pop-up telling people to genuflect and say a prayer to the Great God Bannon before they read any articles.

Bannon was bragging, as soon as he was shoved out of the White House, that he could accomplish more after being unleashed. It's clearer every day that the main thing that's been unleashed is his ego.

Unfortunately, the deplorables are dumb enough to believe him.

I'd say that with any luck, he'll bring the Republican Party down around him as he flails around to try to prove his own importance. But as much as I'd like to see the alt-right self-destruct around this bloated MAGAt, I'm concerned about the damage he'll do in the meantime.

This A-hole sneezes and the MSM puts him in the front page. That's how we ended up with Donald Trump. I wish he would just be ignored rather then incidentally legitimized.

Why is it that a crackpot asshole like this gets his every flatulent sound on the front page, but thoughtful progressives with real ideas for improving this country get no coverage?

Oh, wait, it's because the media owners benefit from having fump in the white house because of MAGgot-endorsed tax and economic policies. Still waiting for those tax cuts! Note that Scrofulous Steve, for all his faux flamethrowing at the GOPee establishment, is A-OK with the tax cuts. He's just another loot-the-nation-for-the-rich pitchman, just more crazy.

Democrats only want to talk about boring stuff that don't make eye-popping headlines, like healthcare and infrastructure.

But, we have to agree about what you said about the media's controlling force - all financially driven.

Democrats should blast this bullshit with both barrels:

1. The GOP is the party of global elites - Mercer, Murdoch, Koch, etc.

2. The "lords of technology" are the ones that helped to put tRump in office (Facebook, Twitter, etc.).

3. He said: “we the citizens of the United States...underwrite the whole thing.” In the future, Wisconsin citizens will know about that full well with tRump's Foxconn deal.

That list could go on and on.
