WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump's charitable foundation, which last year admitted violating federal rules on "self-dealing," is in the process of dissolving, according to newly filed documents reviewed by NBC News.

The move fulfills a promise Trump made last December, when he said he would wind down the Donald J. Trump Foundation to avoid conflicts of interest. New York's attorney general ordered the foundation to stop soliciting contributions in October 2016.

"The foundation announced its intent to dissolve and is seeking approval to distribute its remaining funds" to other charities, according to its 2016 Internal Revenue Service filing, filed this month and uploaded to the website of charity watchdog Guidestar.org by the foundation.

At the end of 2016, the foundation had assets of about $970,000, the document shows.

and in gross violation of the Constitution and emoluments and so on?

Think so, if you want to know how BAD these allegations are, just substitute the name Hillary or Barack for Trump and the country would be stopped until they were in prison.

Worse, they would not be safe physically, like I always say.

The trump and kushner crimes are SO EGREGIOUS that if ANY democrat were guilty of ONE PERCENT of what they are, they would be hounded and chased and the SS could never protect them.

Wouldn't put it past Donnie Short Fingers to say, " hey we shut down that foundation and burned all the records" when Mueller comes calling.

Someone better get a record preservation court order pronto.

for a Harrlequin Romance novel minus the mullet and bare chest. Does he think he is Fabio? His head is too small and hands too large. As an artist/illustrator this offends me visually. As a person in general this offends me too.

I detest bad art. At least Napoleon had Jacques Louis David as his portrait artist and David did other wonderful works such as "The Coronation of Josephine." Here is my essay on this work of art https://www.democraticunderground.com/10027263836

It was a puff piece indeed and he feared he was in big trouble (guilietine and all, ya know) if he didn't make it all look nice. He painted Josephine as younger and um, slenderer than she actually was. Talk about a political statement...

I don't, for a second, doubt that any of the charities they will disperse the money to will be own or operated by the tRump underlings. We need to keep an eye on where they will put the remaining assets and call them out for any that ends up in their own pockets. Criminals, the lot.
