I am going to see a small silver lining if Moore does win. He will be a major discussion point in every single contested GOP race for at least the 2018 cycle. If the election of one Alabama right winger causes the loss of 2 or more GOP seats he will have been useful.

But this:

Borland went onto to justify cases of predatory behavior similar to Moore’s by saying it is “not without some merit” if a man intends to start a large family, as they would have to marry a teenage girl to take advantage the maximum number of her fertile years.

is right up there. Geeze.. Justifying 30 year olds getting with teenagers? Ugh.

4. Moore typifies new Republican Party

I have a relative who has been a lifelong Republican but voted for Democrats in the past election. He is one of the “normal” Republicans who believes in smaller government and tax policies that truly stimulate growth but is not a Bible thumper who thinks women are evil and minorities and non-Christians should be sent to some other country. Those Republicans have been left behind by the current party, and I take every opportunity to use my Facebook posts to tie the current crop of Republicans in Congress to Trump and to the wealthy 1% and to the right-wing extremists. Today I also tied the party to Roy Moore, stating that this is the new Republican Party. The more we can show how the GOP has morphed into a party that supports white supremacy, wants to substitute the Old Testament for the U.S. Constitution, and wants to roll back gains for women, minorities, and LGBT, the less support it will have among centrist Republicans and millennials (who actually seem to trust neither party).

Why Alabamians Should Vote For Roy Moore

I have a 14-year-old daughter. If I caught Roy Moore doing what was alleged, for starters I would kick him where it counts. That said, I don’t think it’s wrong to vote for Moore.

It was a despicable op-ed, but it's not important breaking news when the Federalist publishes crap, or that people recognise it.

Please repost in General Discussion. Thanks.
