Donald Trump's UK visit 'postponed' as tensions with Theresa May rise over Britain First retweets

Source: International Businesss Times

US President Donald Trump's planned visit to Britain in January has reportedly been postponed as the leaders on both sides of the pond find themselves in an escalation of words.

Trump was set to go to the UK for a "working visit" in the New Year to formally open the new US Embassy in London. It was set to be a scaled down version of a state visit with no meeting with the Queen to allow Trump to come to the UK without the potential for mass protests.

He literally pushed unrest in the country that is our closest ally and supported a fringe hate group responsible for the murder of a British lawmaker. That is part of the Putin playbook for destabilizing democracies.

That is the reason they run for office. Forget doing the will of the people. It is "Screw you, I will get mine" That is how they all retire as millionaires. They stay in office too long, even after their coffers are overflowing. Look at McCain and the other old pharts.

Like the 9/11 plotters, he can't believe how successful his US attack was. Look at all the benefits Putin is reaping from his cyber attack on the US to help Trump. The US is fighting with its closest allies; the US has abdicated its leadership to promote democracy and human rights around the world; and US citizens are more divided than we have been in over 60 years. To Putin, Trump is the gift that keeps on giving.

Yes, Trump is not the US, everyone understands that. But Trump holds the reigns of power right now, and represents the US on the world stage. Putin is ecstatic about that because Trump has strained ties with our allies and legitimized human rights abuses.
