Source: Palm Beach Post
New information has a top federal prosecutor reconsidering his support for a proposed bail bond for former Donald Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, which could involve Manaforts Palm Beach Gardens home.
Robert Muellers Office of Special Counsel had supported Manaforts bond motion Thursday, but asked a judge on Friday for several days to reevaluate. The government wants until Monday in light of information that has come to the governments attention only after defendants Motion was filed, which the government is still examining, a lawyer for Mueller wrote.

Huh. I thought it was strange that they were letting him out without electronic tracking, but I supposed he had agreed to cooperate.
This article seems to hint that one of the homes Manafort put up may not be as valuable as Manafort claimed?

- and yes, agreed, bird, this deal sounded a little wonky to me as well...not that I have a clue what the hell's going on, mind you! - but it sounds as if Mr. Mueller is gently applying the brakes here until more is revealed -
Deep breaths, keepin the faith!

(32,777 posts)You know only one guy gets the deal, right? Probably Mueller was playing one against the other to see who would sing first. Now that Flynn gets it, why should Manafort get a chance to fly out of the country? That's what he was planning to do I'm sure of it.
There are too many other places Manafort can go and get protection. He would have gladly forfeited those properties just to get out of trouble. I'll bet Cheeto's promise of a "pardon" doesn't hold much sway now either.

(12,029 posts)But apparently Mueller has all he needs from Manafort (testimony as well as documents), so even if he's a victim of one of Putin's hitmen, it shouldn't hurt Mueller's case.

(14,838 posts)you can't cross examine him. So I doubt he could introduce it as evidence.
I don't think the stories are true though. The russians wouldn't kill mannafort. They would kidnap someone important to him.
Too much visibility there. At least in this country, it wouldn't look right if he fell off his roof while shoveling snow off.
