In tweets responding to Flynn plea, Trump questions why Hillary Clinton hasn't been prosecuted

Source: AP

After a morning tweet in which President Trump appeared to change his story on why he fired Michael Flynn as his national security advisor, Trump turned to Twitter again Saturday night.

In a series of tweets, the president railed about why Flynn was prosecuted but his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, was not.

Flynn pleaded guilty Friday to lying to the FBI about his conversations last December with Russia's ambassador to the United States.

The FBI investigated Clinton for using a private email server as secretary of State but concluded last year that nothing was found that would cause the bureau to recommend charges against her.

So General Flynn lies to the FBI and his life is destroyed, while Crooked Hillary Clinton, on that now famous FBI holiday “interrogation” with no swearing in and no recording, lies many times...and nothing happens to her? Rigged system, or just a double standard?

Many people in our Country are asking what the “Justice” Department is going to do about the fact that totally Crooked Hillary, AFTER receiving a subpoena from the United States Congress, deleted and “acid washed” 33,000 Emails? No justice!

Then they will move on to the Rose Law Firm
Then Paula Jones
Then Monica (again)
Then Vince Flynn
Then The Clinton Foundation
Then Benghazi

Then, finally, they can move onto her emails.
Then they can investigate the charge that she voted for herself over 3 million times in the 2017 election after personally carrying 50% of the US stockpile of uranium directly to Putin.

They absolutely KNOW that there is something there, it is just that Bill and Hillary are SO good at covering their tracks that they have been able to confound the FBI, the NSA, the CIA, and Trey Gowdy.

It truly is amazing that the Clintons have been able to run a vast criminal empire for 40 years, and find time to be President, Senator, Governor, Secretary of State, and yet leave NO evidence behind that anyone can find.

Hillary had government emails on an unauthorized server that couldn't be monitored or protected per normal protocol. I'd bet money she didn't install the server herself, she didn't tighten the last screw, mop her brow, and chortle "wah ha ha the world is mine" as she powered it up; she may not have even been aware there was a problem. I read the regulations changed possibly when Colin Powell was SoS, because he had a private server when it wasn't an issue. It's possible Clinton's crew may have been using the same network. Someone could have set up an extra hard drive locally because everyone kept hitting their email limit and they needed to archive them.

Bad stuff could have happened. Clinton flat out said they goofed up. There was an exhaustive review of everything that happened, and it was determined there was practically no damage - probably three emails had been mislabeled as classified and they weren't supposed to be. Hillary claimed responsibility, and since it was an honest mistake no harm/no foul.

Indicting her would be like a policeman hauling a person to court for a burnt-out tail light driver didn't know about - with some kind of charge they might have caused an accident even though it didn't happen.

That is exactly the kind of “law and order” Trump and the Trumpists want: the ability to punish the people with whom they disagree. If they get their way, we’ll see a real police state, where you’ll be able to disappear your neighbor with the yapping dog by claiming they’re a criminal. Guilty, if accused and liberal, will become the new standard.

I'm a Buddhist. Recently was reading Trungpa's description of Vajra Hell. "Vajra" means diamond-like or indesctructable. Candidates for vajra hell are those with extreme ego, hatred, greed, and jealosy. Those with fixed delusional beliefs. I immediately thought of Trump. I actually feel sorry for him, because he is so far gone in the direction of vajra hell. But he has also inflicted immense suffering of millions of others. Our country is certainly in a pickle.

what he has brought upon his own head.

There are those who are unlightened but innocent beings who deserve beyond more attentiveness for empathy, forgiveness, encouragement, reclamation, affirmation, rescue and redemption.

I have no feeling for this particular person. See what he has wrought on me?

As awful and dreadful as Trump seems to us, I'm certain that he is not a happy man. Vajra Hell is not a physical place that can be found on google maps or through a telescope searching the heavens. Vajra Hell is a mental state. The severity of Trump's narcissistic self-centeredness is the cause of his problems. He extreme greed, anger, and ignorance are what creates his own Vajra Hell.

In Buddhism, we have this notion that all sentient beings that are not completely and perfectly enlightened are trapped in the realms of samsara, which are the realms of suffering. We all of us, including animals, are suffering because our minds keep fabricating the notion that the "self" the "ego" is a real solid permanent and self-existent thing. People with the biggest egos, those who do not nurture compassion suffer the greatest.

If you can find your way to see Trump as a man locked in extreme egotism, devoid of compassion and feelings for others, you might begin to find your way to have some compassion for him and for all those that he inflicts suffering on. If I could get into his mind, I would be extremely embarrassed about my behavior, embarrassed at how others see me as a gigantic ass hole, and very remorseful at the criminal and non-virtuous ways that I had treated people. But I can't get inside his head. And I'm certainly not skillful enough to crack open his heart a bit to consider the feelings of others. There is nothing that you or I can do to actually help Trump, except to remove him from office, where he can inflict less suffering on others. That would actually be a kindness to him.

the ultimate result/'gift' would be the lessening of damage/suffering he and his cohorts are inflicting on those not deserving.

I do not hate him. I am deeply disheartened by him squatting in the highest office of our nation. My dad and his brothers served in WWII, my dad seeing action in the Philippines. He dropped dead in front of us one Sunday morning at age 45. He selflessly served so we could keep our 'freedoms'. Now this is what it's come to.

I leave people like this to Heaven, if you will. He is under the judgment of God. I am concerned with my life and how I treat my sisters and brothers.

It is written that these 'things' will come to pass.

Can I be forgiving of someone like 'this'? I have no feeling one way or the other.

They have drug the Christianity I know thru muck and mire and this rankles me. Someone, a seeker, who may have been interested in 'The Way' could understandably be turned off from that path by those who are perverting the message.

You wrote 'have compassion on those he inflicts suffering upon".

I do have compassion on those who are recipients of the suffering inflicted. Those who thru no fault of their own are deserving of.

Christian hell is not a geographical place either. It is a state of separation from Ultimate Love.
