Trump Accuser: We're Forgotten By Those Who 'Put Party Above All Else'

One of the 13 women who came forward accusing President Donald Trump of sexual misconduct during the 2016 campaign said she and other accusers feel forgotten in the recent wave of women coming forward accusing prominent men of inappropriate behavior and sexual harassment, especially by politicians.
I mean, I think its been great, the accuser, Rachel Crooks, said Monday on CNNs New Day when asked about the recent me too movement of women going public with their stories of harassment.
Im so thankful that other women are having enough courage to come forward. But, yes, I do feel forgotten, she continued. I mean, you cant help but wonder why people arent talking about Trump and the people that came forward for him and why is he immune to this?
I think were forgotten by people who want to put party above all else and thats sad because this should be bigger than politics.
Before the election, Crooks came forward with her story claiming that Trump kissed her without her consent when she introduced herself to him in 2005. At the time, Crooks said she was working for a company that was located inside Trump Tower. She said she saw Trump regularly using the elevator outside her office window, so one day she decided to introduce herself to him. Throughout the conversation he wouldnt let go of her hand and repeatedly kissed her on the cheeks. He asked her if she was a model and then forcibly kissed her on the lips without her consent.

So having started this reply, I went and looked it up: (from Here's How That Wild Lawsuit Accusing Trump of Raping a 13-Year-Old Girl Hit The Headlines, 6/24/16)
In recent weeks, several national press outlets have retailed a set of very unflattering allegations about Donald Trumpnamely, that he raped a 13-year-old at a 1994 orgy hosted by notorious celebrity sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. What no ones reported on yet is the fact that the recent round of coverage is the culmination of an almost year-long campaign to quietly push these allegations into the public discussion, and maybe make some money in the process.

Theres certainly someone in the video. The bewigged, pixellated person is telling a harrowing story: at several points, she becomes obviously overwhelmed with emotion and has trouble speaking. And theres no question that Trumps public attitude towards women is repugnant, and that he is said to have behaved like a lecherous creep in private many times over the years. Ivana Trump accused Donald of rape in an out-of-print biography of the man, a claim she subsequently disavowed in 2015, calling the story totally without merit and saying the claims were made during a tense divorce.
But even given Trumps moderately disgusting track record with women, the fact is that a cadre of men have been shopping this Katie Johnson story around for nearly a year, while repeatedly refusing requests to interview the supposed victim. The facts speak less to a scandal and more, perhaps, to an attempt at a smearone that finally, after months of clumsy maneuvering, is gaining speed.

(19,204 posts)but you and the others have been swept under one of Don-the-Con's Persian rugs ( one of the new ones he's buying with his huge tax cut). Republicans don't have to answer these charges because they never admit it, even if they've done it. They deny, deny, deny, just like Roy Moore is doing right now (even in the face of overwhelming evidence) and their good "christian" constituents forgive them, and all is jake in GOPworld.
Next time, get molested by a Democrat. They're held accountable.
