75 gather at FDR site to celebrate Social Security

HYDE PARK Over 75 area resident gathered at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum this morning to celebrate the 77th anniversary of the Social Security program.
Speakers talked about the importance of the program enacted by Congress and signed into law on August 14, 1935 by FDR.
After the talks the residents enjoyed slices of birthday cakes for the 2012 National Birthday Party for Social Security.
