Black to hand off budget gavel, remain in Congress

Source: Politico

House Budget Chairman Diane Black announced Wednesday that she plans to hand over her gavel in early 2018 but will not give up her seat as she revs up her campaign for governor of Tennessee.

Black plans to step down “once a successor is chosen in the new year,” according to her spokeswoman Sarah Corley. The Tennessee Republican will not vacate her seat, ending months of speculation that she would resign shortly after the GOP’s tax plan became law.

Steve Womack (R-Ark.) is the early front-runner for the seat, according to several GOP lawmakers. Rob Woodall (R-Ga.) is also eyeing the position.

Black — whose hard-fought budget blueprint jump-started the GOP’s tax push this summer — also served on the conference committee that shaped the final version of the legislation.

it was done with fucking republicans only and fucking lobbyists, and she threw a lot of people under the bus making less than $75,000, while she sat in that office behind closed doors, saying yes--------------------FUCK HER and the horse she road in on, because she is going to run around and be screeching about social welfare reform (another racists fascist attack) and Medicare and Social Security to pay for her 1.5 trillion budget -she owns that bill and very republican that voted for it

lose her congressional seat. Her Democratic challenger in the gubernatorial race, Karl Dean, was a popular and effective 2-term mayor of Nashville and has a good shot at defeating the GOP nominee.

about the GOPee tax scam that Randi Rhodes made on her show recently: the money for the earlier GOPee tax cuts under raygun and bush came from gutting welfare, i.e. programs that helped the poor. The money for the current GOPee tax cuts will come from gutting programs for the middle class.

Obviously the pukes are systematically looting the country and shoveling the money upwards.

"First they came for the poor, and I did not speak out--because I wasn't poor..."

"Then they came for me."

Paraphrased from Martin Niemoeller.
