Nikki Haley denies Trump affair rumors: 'It is absolutely not true'

The rumor is being fueled by "Fire and Fury" author Michael Wolff, who teased in an interview with Bill Maher last week that his book contained a clue as to someone with whom Trump was having an affair. Wolff said he was "absolutely sure" the claim was true but it is "so incendiary that I just didn't have the ultimate proof."

A line in the book that says Trump has been spending "a notable amount of private time with Haley" on Air Force One pointed readers to Haley.

Well apparently Trump or somebody in the WH came back to her with "No dice!" At the time we were joking on DU that he's saving the job for Ivanka, but who really knows?

Michael Wolff is being coy and disingenuous in these TV interviews by not mentioning that he suggested in his book that Bannon aides in WH were concerned and suspicious that she might either have some influence on Trump (because she has called out Trump on his failure to speak out against KKK and racism and she has not been a hardliner on immigration) or undermine him because she is ambitious.

Since Wolff probably got his info from Bannon's minions, the veracity is suspect since they wanted to undermine her and spreading salacious rumors would be in their playbook. The rightwing base and Bannon's alt-right crowd consider her too moderate and mainstream Repub.
