Gym teacher accused of assaulting student who wouldnt stand for Pledge of Allegiance

Source: Bangor Daily News

A 20-year veteran teacher is accused of assaulting a middle school student who refused to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance, the latest incident in which a protest over the flag has devolved into apparent violence.

The teacher is Karen Smith, who until recently taught physical education at Angevine Middle School, about 20 miles north of Denver. She couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.

Officers were called to the school around noon Thursday, the Denver Post reported. Neither the school nor the police released details, and the student’s name has not been released. No charges have been filed.

A school spokesman told the newspaper that the policy is to allow students to sit or stand during the pledge.

Based on my reading about the history it was intended to indoctrinate school kids and sell flags. There wasn't even a Pledge of Allegiance back in America's beginning. It wasn't for another 116 years before there was such a thing. And our current Pledge is only 75 years old.

Also don't forget, it was written by a socialist, not a capitalist and, of course, "under God" wasn't added until the 1950s because we were fighting the godless commies. These days we're just handing them the country.

Even if it's a good thing, and even if it's a good faith open-minded and well-informed choice by the child to pledge allegiance to this flag and also to what it stands for (stop laughing, you)...even if all that's true, why do they have to do it every fucking day? How many times you gotta pledge your allegiance to something before it takes?

Do married people get remarried every fucking morning? No, they do not.

This is what happens when you have a fake president.

A real president would have been the first to defend Colin Kaepernick's right to peaceably protest, and subsequent NFL players' right to peaceably assemble and petition the government for a redress of grievances.

A real president would know the First Amendment:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

A real president would take his or her oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States seriously.

The fake president glorifies itself at the expense of any and all others. Fake patriots emulate the fake president.
