Trump touts Ken Starr interview on Russia probe

Source: The Hill

BY BRETT SAMUELS - 02/18/18 03:54 PM EST

President Trump on Sunday praised former independent counsel Ken Starr for his comments during a Fox News interview focused on Russian interference in the 2016 election and leaks in the Justice Department.

Starr spoke with Maria Bartiromo on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” about the fallout from the Justice Department indicting 13 Russian nationals and three Russian organizations for allegedly attempting to interfere in the 2016 election. The indictment alleges the goal of the Russians was to support then-candidate Donald Trump, and damage his opponent, Hillary Clinton.

“We’re now aiming our guns so to speak where they should be aiming. I think we should stop pointing fingers at one another in this country and realize who the real enemy is,” Starr said.

Starr praised the indictment as a way to refocus most Americans on the fact that Russians have pitted them against each other, and noted there’s no mention of collusion with the Trump campaign in the charges.

The guy who "ran" the leakiest investigation in history, who turned a failed Arkansas land deal into a cum-stained blue dress?

Yeah, there's an expert. You know the definition of an expert, right? It's somebody who used to be a spurt.

Starr was always a partisan hack with a prurient streak. I guess he does belong on Fox, where all the old losers go to toe the party line.

he mishandled several sexual assaults at the school.

The same Ken Starr who wants us to believe we should stop pointing fingers and realize who the real enemy is...

That same Ken Starr who spent so much time trying to bury Bill Clinton - now praising Bill Clinton....

To Ken Starr - we know who the enemy is...please slink off to whatever corner of the world you slipped out of....the guy seems to be looking for his own redemption..

Sorry big guy..you didn't listen at Baylor, now we don't give a rats ass what you have to say..we are NOT listening.....

Trump can crow all he wants, while Mueller is still putting his case together, piece after piece after piece.

Is he at all aware of what is going on in this country?

And I really don't get the idea that Russians have pitted Americans against each other. I am against anyone who is a sexist, racist, failed businessman who cares not at all for the environment. Nothing would make me like a person like that.

I think the thing to be angry about the Russian thing is they have no business in our election or anything. Don't they have their own people to take care of? If they had to meddle, it can't be for a reason that is good for Americans.
