Vice President Mike Pence predicted Tuesday abortion would end in the U.S. "in our time."

"I know in my heart of hearts this will be the generation that restores life in America," Pence said at a luncheon in Nashville, Tenn., hosted by the Susan B. Anthony List & Life Institute, an anti-abortion organization. "If all of us do all we can, we can once again in our time restore the sanctity of life to the center of American law."

Pence has long championed anti-abortion policies, as a congressman and later as the governor of Indiana.

He told the crowd he has seen more progress in the past year than he has in his entire life.

there was "Our Bodies, Ourselves" - a groundbreaking book that had a section that said the same thing. What's changed now is that there are many, many, many female doctors - in fact I think in med schools, the females outnumber the males. ..A Dutch news channel back around 2002 or so that reported how the Dutch were providing abortion services for Irish women in international waters 5 miles or so off the coast of Ireland (where abortions are/were illegal).
