Russias ambassador to the European Union suggested the nerve agent used to attack a former spy and his daughter could have come from a U.K. research lab.
Vladimir Chizhov told the BBCs Andrew Marr Show on Sunday that Russia had nothing to do with the poisoning of Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia.
However, he did say that Porton Down a defense science and technology laboratory was just a few miles away from Salisbury, where the poisoning took place.
Chizhov said: When you have a nerve agent or whatever, you check it against certain samples that you retain in your laboratories.
