Amnesty International has awarded civil rights activist and former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick with its top award.
Kaepernick was presented Amnesty Internationals Ambassador of Conscience Award for 2018 in the Netherlands on Saturday.
The Ambassador of Conscience award celebrates the spirit of activism and exceptional courage, as embodied by Colin Kaepernick. He is an athlete who is now widely recognized for his activism because of his refusal to ignore or accept racial discrimination, said Salil Shetty, Secretary General of Amnesty International.

I wonder if he's looked at playing in Canada?
I know some American pros have played there, and even overseas.
I read a book some years ago of an American who played American style football in Italy.

(89 posts)Thank you! But there's another American QB who played in the CFL first. Christ, I know the guy's name but it's just not coming to me now. I think he played for the BC Lions. I could go to Google, but I swear I know the guy's name! Jesus, I think it even SOUNDS a bit like Kaepernick!
