Trump suggests embattled nominee for VA post drop out because of ugly process

Source: Washington Post

President Trump said Tuesday that he is standing behind Ronny L. Jackson to lead the Department of Veterans Affairs but suggested the his embattled nominee should drop out because of what Trump characterized as “ugly allegations” that have surfaced.

“I don’t want to put a man through a process like this,” Trump said when asked about Jackson’s nomination during a joint news conference with French President Emmanuel Macron. “It’s too ugly, and it’s too disgusting.”

Trump said a decision about whether to proceed would be left to Jackson.

“I said to Dr. Jackson, what do you need it for?” Trump said.

so he was rewarded by being nominated to a position way beyond his capabilities. He might be a great physician, but the VA Director needs outstanding management skills to effectively run the department.

I care deeply that he has absolutely no experience relevant to running the VA. The vets who utilize the VA have enough problems. They don't need or deserve an incompetent person heading it.

It's a tough job. I don't envy whoever finally gets the job.

Maybe he'll appoint Ivanka next.

Even if he drops his name from consideration, the Navy will be obligated to investigate Jackson, now that there are accusations of drinking while on duty and questionable drug prescriptions!!!

He'll be strongly advised to put in his retirement papers, otherwise ... After this fiasco he won't go any higher up the greasy pole.

job performance, actions.

I imagine t Rump thinks looking into a mirror is an ugly process, too, and blames the mirror.
