Former Trump adviser Omarosa Manigault confirms president called African nations 's***hole countries

Source: The Independent

Former White House aide Omarosa Manigault has confirmed that President Donald Trump called certain African nations “s***hole countries" during an immigration meeting earlier this year.

Ms Manigault – a former star of Mr Trump’s reality show “The Apprentice” and a one-time assistant to the president – confirmed the remarks in a tweet during Mr Trump’s press conference with Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari.

Ms Manigault left the Trump administration in December. She later claimed to have seen things in the White House that made her “uncomfortable”. “As the only African American woman in this White House as a senior staff and assistant to the President, I have seen things that have made me uncomfortable, that have upset me, that have affected me deeply and emotionally,” she told ABC’s “Good Morning America”.

“Well, I’m very careful with what the press says about others than myself,” Buhari said during a joint press conference with Trump on Monday, responding to a question about his response to Trump’s reported derogatory remarks about African countries. “I’m not sure about, you know, the validity or whether than allegation against the President was true or not. So the best thing for me is to keep quiet.” After a short pause, Trump said the two presidents had not discussed the alleged remarks, before claiming that “some countries” are “in very bad shape.”

“We didn’t discuss it,” he said. “And you do have some countries that are in very bad shape and very tough places to live in. But we didn’t discuss it because the President knows me and he knows where I’m coming from. And I appreciate that. We did not discuss it.”

So Trump isn't denying it (like he has in the past).

The reality star later said on "Big Brother" that leaving the White House was like being "freed off a plantation" — and hinted that she wouldn't be keeping her lips sealed for much longer.

"I'm thinking of writing a tell-all sometime. He's going to come after me with everything he has. Like, I'm going up against a kazillionaire … but I have to tell my truth. I'm tired of being muted… I've been defending somebody for so long. Now I'm like, 'Yo, you are a special kind of f--ked up,'" she mused.

I also Googled "Omarosa book"

apparently the remark was made on Feb 24.
