Iran calls Netanyahu 'infamous liar' over nuclear allegations

Source: Agence France-Presse

1 MAY 2018

Iran on Tuesday branded Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu an "infamous liar" over his allegations of a secret Iranian nuclear weapons programme.

Foreign ministry spokesman Bahram Ghasemi called the accusations that Tehran lied about its nuclear ambitions "worn-out, useless and shameful". Netanyahu's comments came from a "broke and infamous liar who has had nothing to offer except lies and deceits," Ghasemi said in a statement.

"Netanyahu and the notorious, child-killing Zionist regime must have reached the basic understanding that the people of the world have enough awareness and cognisance," he added.

Netanyahu said in an elaborate televised presentation on Monday that he had new "proof" of an Iranian nuclear weapons plan that could be activated at any time.

1. Even his own security officials don't agree with him, so I will TOO call him a liar.

Netanyahu is equally despicable and bad for Israelis and Trump is for Americans.

is a cornered rat facing possible indictments, much like trump. If they are conspiring to start a war based on lies, I imagine that would be treason. Or at least it should be.

4. Oh my God, that's like saying Colin Powell lied in his talk to the UN.

Powell talked about a building used to make chemical weapons in the past in Iraq. He showed a photo of a truck with a container for fluids parked outside that building recently. He then showed a later photo with the truck no longer there. He cited that as proof Saddam was again making chemical weapons. But of course water trucks are present at construction sites in case something catches on fire. A far more likely explanation for the photos was that there was construction at the site. I find it hard to believe Powell did not know that. His talk was filled with similar flawed logic. Powell knew he was being dishonest. Same with Bibi.

His "proof" that Iran lied is all from years BEFORE the deal. It is true that Iran denied having a nuclear weapons program ... but the entire international effort was based on the assumption that they did. The deal removed 97% of the enriched uranium and filled in a plutonium reactor with cement among others things including installing the toughest monitoring system that has ever been used.

Netanyahu then made an assumption that as they lied in 2003, they are lying now -- ignoring that they are closely monitored. Trump's administration then issued a statement that said Iran HAS a nuclear weapons program ... that they walked back claiming it was a "typo". Trump, himself, said it proved that he was 100% correct -- where even the military experts reporting to him have repeatedly corrected his statements.

The IMPRESSION Netanyahu gave was dishonest and the inferences he made were not supported by anything. However, unlike Trump, while Netanyahu's performance was designed to convey untruthful ideas that were blatantly dishonest -- every fact stated might not be provably false. (Note he argues that because there were lies in the decade before the deal, the deal was based on those lies. Yet, the entire stated purpose was to keep Iran from getting a nuclear weapon -- obviously, the P5 +1 all thought Iran had a program and was moving in that direction -- as each country's intelligence said. ) If you take BiBi at face value on this - the P5+1 were fooled and thought Iran did not have a nuclear weapons program -- but they then put on increasingly arduous sanctions that punished Iran for working on nuclear weapons , then dedicated an enormous amount of diplomatic energy and the expertise of Moniz's team to design a monitoring system and then struggled to get a deal that most thought less than a 50/50 shot.
