Cobb, who served as the White House point person in dealing with special counsel Robert S. Mueller III, is stepping down, according to senior administration officials.

He is expected to be replaced by Williams & Connolly partner Emmet T. Flood, a Republican defense lawyer who helped President Bill Clinton during impeachment proceedings and was interviewed by President Trump earlier this year.

“For several weeks, Ty Cobb has been discussing his retirement and last week he let Chief of Staff Kelly know he would retire at the end of this month,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement.
This is a developing story. It will be updated.

Most clients try to weave and dodge to an extent, but a good lawyer will insist on a client's truthfulness when speaking to the lawyer. It's the only way a lawyer can function. Trump does not listen to ANYONE, so I agree, Flood won't last long.

two things come to mind. Is this just a political ploy so it appears impeachment is imminent? Gotta get the Trumpista base fired up for the midterms!! Pelosi and Reid are correct. Pushing impeachment will only motivate the Trump base of support.

Or is it that this guy is in so much doodoo he can't hold onto any attorney?

They settled in for a long winter siege against "The Man" and were on Facebook begging for Mountain Dew and Doritos a few days later. People sent them dildoes instead.

And this was the best, the brightest, and the most motivated of the right-wing amateur army at work.

Yeah, a Trump acolyte may go and do something awful every now and then, but they are already doing that. I refuse to be fearful of them because--and this is very important--that's exactly what terrorists want you to do.

The Failing New York Times purposely wrote a false story stating that I am unhappy with my legal team on the Russia case and am going to add another lawyer to help out. Wrong. I am VERY happy with my lawyers, John Dowd, Ty Cobb and Jay Sekulow. They are doing a great job and.....
