Trump considers benching Giuliani from doing TV interviews

Source: Associated Press

NEW YORK (AP) — President Donald Trump is growing increasingly irritated with lawyer Rudy Giuliani’s frequently off-message media blitz, which has included muddying the waters on hush money paid to porn actress Stormy Daniels and making claims that could complicate the president’s standing in the special counsel’s Russia probe.

Trump has begun questioning whether Giuliani, an old friend and former New York City mayor, should be sidelined from television interviews, according to two people familiar with the president’s thinking but not authorized to speak publicly about private discussions.

Trump also expressed annoyance that Giuliani’s theatrics have breathed new life into the Daniels story. It’s a concern shared by Trump allies who think Giuliani is only generating more legal and political trouble for the White House.

Giuliani, the newest addition to the president’s legal team, first rattled the White House last week when he sat for interviews on Fox News and seemed to contradict Trump by saying the president was aware of the $130,000 payout to Daniels from his personal attorney, Michael Cohen. He also suggested the October 2016 settlement had been made because Trump was in the stretch run of his presidential campaign.

to get off-message from after this past week.

From CNN, this is only 1 of "21 head-scratching lines" from the last Giuliani interview, but bizarrely typical:

3. "I mean, at some point, yes, but it could have been recently, it could have been a while back. Those are the facts that we're still working on."

At issue here is that Giuliani told Buzzfeed last week that Cohen was unhappy that he hadn't been paid back and met with Trump about it after the election. Trump, according to Giuliani, agreed to pay Cohen back. What Giuliani is hedging on here is when Trump knew about the repayment. Also: Facts are not something you "work" on. They just are.

A lot of people are watching Giuliani, though, in the news all the time. He is also messaging that the Russia probe will drive people to the polls to vote for Trump, and there's nothing stupid about blowing oxygen on that message.

The United States of America is growing increasingly irritated with conman Donald Trump's frequently off-message media blitz, which has included muddying the waters on hush money paid to porn actress Stormy Daniels and making claims that could complicate the nation's integrity in the special counsel’s Russia probe.

The USA has begun questioning whether Trump, an old dotard and former New York City fraudster, should be sidelined from television interviews, according to two people familiar with the nation's thinking but not authorized to speak publicly about private discussions.

The US also expressed annoyance that Trump's theatrics have breathed new life into the 'Ugly American' story. It’s a concern shared by American allies who think Trump is only generating more legal and military trouble for the world.

Trump, the newest addition to the USA's Hall of Shame, first rattled the world in the 1970s when he was a racist landlord and seemed to contradict American values by saying "fuck anyone who isn't a rich, white American man like me - I love the poorly educated - they don't care about my bigotry". He also suggested that all presidents before him were failures, and that any woman would be pleased to have their pussy grabbed by him.

..it's a sign you have bad representation.

Does Trump bill him hourly, or per instance.

I imagine Trump will tell Rudy Guilianni he should do it just to boost name recognition. hahaha

Fact is, Rudy has probably lost a lot of potential clients this past week based on what appears to be raging incompetence.

He wants to establish Attorney-Client privilege to protect himself in some way because he is dirty with the NY FBI and NYPD in 2016.

I think A is more likely than B.

i'd bet money the most strategic thing Orange Julius Caesar considers in a given week is along the lines of which golf club gets his ball out of the rough. or, scratch that, he probably just places on the fairway and uses his 2-scoops privileges to avoid taking a penalty.
